This pretty stocking stitch and garter stitch blocked blanket has slightly wavy lines of different colours running through the pattern.

The pattern would look great in any colour combination using one, two or many colours for the stripes. The pattern is ideal for using up part-balls and odd ends of yarn. Any DK baby yarn is suitable.

The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters, all stitches are straightforward and the garter stitch edgings are knitted at the same time. I also give written instructions for weaving in the ends of the contrast colours as you go along.

In three different sizes, the length of the blanket is easily adjusable.
Sizes:
Small—46 x 53 cm / 18 x 21 inches
Medium –69 x 84 cm / 27 x 33 inches
Large –84 x 97 cm / 33 x 38 inches
Length is adjustable.
Yarn:
DK weight yarn, suitable for a baby in the following amounts:
Small— 4 x 50g balls in main shade, 1 x 50g ball each of two contrast colours. Only a small amount, approx. 20g of yarn is needed for each of the two contrast colours, so oddments are ideal.
Medium— 7 x 50g balls in main shade, 1 x 50g ball each of two contrast colours.
Large— 10 x 50g balls in main shade, 1 x 50g balls each of two contrast colours
Needles:
3.75mm & 4mm needles—straight or circular needles are suitable, but for the larger sizes you may find it easier to work with circular needles to accommodate the number of stitches.
