This pretty lace blanket is suitable for knitters with a little experience. The techniques used are all straightforward and the Moss Stitch (Seed Stitch) edgings are knitted at the same time.
The instructions for this blanket cover three sizes. The pattern has charts as well as written instructions so that you can work from whichever you prefer.
Finished dimensions approx.:
Small - 18 x 21 inches (46 x 53 cm).
Medium - 27 x 33 inches (69 x 84 cm).
Large - 33 x 38 inches (84 x 97 cm).
You will need: A suitable DK weight yarn. The sample was knitted in James C Brett Double Knitting with Merino but any standard DK yarn will be suitable.
Small - 2 x 100g balls or 400m approx.
Medium - 3 x 100g balls or 900m approx.
Large - 5 x 100g balls or 1300m approx.
It is easy to adjust the length of the blanket by working more or less repeats.
Pair 4 mm [US6] & 3.5mm [US4] knitting needles. Long circular needles are recommended to accommodate the number of stitches.
