To save on plastic waste, I do not put patterns into a plastic sleeve.
The Gracie Baby Blanket is a timelss, simple-to-knit blanket that is great for as a gift for new parents.
Knit in a lightweight 4 ply or fingering yarn it makes a light and airy blanket just right for wrapping baby in or keeping little legs warm.
The pattern is written for two sizes: Small - 58 x 76 cm [23 x 30 inches] and
Large - 78.5 x 96.5 cm [31 x 38 inches]
The sample blanket above is in traditional white but the blanket knitted in any colour or a semi-solid or multicoloured yarn it would look just as lovely.
Yarn: 4ply / fingering weight yarn in either wool, wool mix or acrylic.
Small: approx. 4 x 50g balls
Large: approx. 7 x 50g balls
Needles:
1 x Pair 3.5mm, 1 x pair 3.75mm – or size which gives you the correct tension.
Straight or circular needles can be used but use needles that are long enough to comforta-bly hold the number of stitches
