To save on plastic waste, I do not put patterns into a plastic sleeve.

This easy-to-knit blanket is knitted all in one piece. The simple stitch pattern makes a timeless blanket that will look good in any Aran weight yarn.

Sizes:
58 x 76 cm / 23 x 30 inches
[78 x 96 cm / 31 x 38 inches]

Yarn:
Approx. 3 [5] x 100g balls of an Aran weight yarn suitable for a baby.

Tension:
6 sts per 2.5 cm / 1 inch in pattern with main needle.
The pattern stitch pulls the knitting in so you will get more stitches to 2.5 cm / 1 inch than you expect from the size of yarn and needles.

Needles:
Pair each of 4mm & 3.5mm needles (or any size needle which gives you the correct knitting tension, and needles of two sizes smaller for the edging) . Circular needles are recommended to hold the num-ber of stitches comfortably.

Notions:
Yarn needle for sewing in ends.
2 stitch markers—optional
