Floe is a seamless circular yoke sweater worked from the bottom up.
The seamless construction makes Floe a comfortable non constricting sweater and the round neck is flattering to most body types.

The sample in the picture was knitted with a 4ply wool held together with a laceweight mohair yarn but you can use a single strand of a DK yarn that knits to the correct tension/gauge if you wish.

To knit this sweater you will need a knowledge of knitting seamlessly in the round. Instructions are given for wrap and turn short rows and Japanese short rows, but you can of course use whichever method you prefer. The stitch pattern is both written and charted.

The measurements given in the pattern are finished sizes. When choosing a size to knit you should add some ease to your bust measurement. Floe is shown here with 2 inches of positive ease.

The pattern covers bust sizes:
81 [86, 91.5, 96.5, 101.5, 106.5, 112] cm
32 [34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44] inches

Knitting starts with the ribbing at the bottom of the body. The simple lace pattern is then worked and the rest of the body is knitted upwards in stocking stitch to the underarms where the body is put to one side. The sleeves are worked next with a small section of the easy lace pattern near the cuffs.
The body and sleeves are then joined and the lace pattern is worked up through the yoke, decreases are spaced to ensure the yoke fits well around the upper body and shoulders. Short rows are used to bring up the back of the sweater and shape the round yoke.

Tension/Gauge: 22 sts x 32 rows to 10cm/4 inches square.
