Sophie's Sunday Best Cardigan

This cardigan is designed to complement a pretty top or blouse.
The body has gentle A-line shaping and the smart Moss stitch and Double Moss stitches are timeless and give a smart yet feminine feel.
The pretty collar looks great in either a contrasting colour (as shown in the photographs) or in the same colour as the body.


The pattern covers sizes: 6 months [1 year, 2 years, 3 years]
with a finished chest measurement of 20 [22, 24½, 26½] inches - 51 [56, 62, 67] cm.
The pattern contains a full schematic showing full dimensions of the cardigan.


You will need:
DK weight yarn suitable for a baby or child. 4 [5, 5, 6] x 50g balls in main shade and 1 x 50g ball for all sizes in a contrast colour - the collar does not take a whole ball so is ideal for using up a part ball.
3.75mm & 4mm needles.
2 stitch holders
2 stitch markers
2 [2, 3, 3] buttons approx. ½" dia - 15mm
The body is knitted all in one piece and divided for fronts and back. The sleeves are knitted separately and sewn into the armholes.


This pattern is suitable for the intermediate knitter.
