Squarely Reversible Baby Blanket

A great beginner pattern or for an easy, relaxing knit as only knit and purl stitches are used.

Small: 22 x 27 inches / 56 x 69 cm

Medium: 25 x 30 inches / 64 x 76 cm

Large: 30 x 35 inches / 76 cm x 89 cm

Yarn: approx. 5 (6, 7) x 50g balls as below OR 800 (960, 1120) meters / 875 (1049, 1225) yds of a DK weight baby yarn.

Sample shown was knitted in Wendy Peter Pan baby DK - 160 meters/ 175 yd to 50g - 55% Nylon, 45% Acrylic in the colourway Denim Drift.

Tension/Gauge: 24sts x 36 rows to 10cm/4 inches in pattern.

Needles: 3.75mm/US 5 and 4mm/US 6 needles

Or needles which will give you the above tension/gauge. Tension/ gauge is not crucial in a blanket but if you knit to a different tension your blanket will be a different size and take more or less yarn.

Difficulty, Techniques Used: Beginner knitter. You will need to know how to read a pattern, cast on/off, knit, purl.
